Asparagopsis taxiformis, a red seaweed shown to cut enteric methane from cattle by 90%, had been difficult to grow. Symbrosia domesticated the species and built a land-based system to cultivate it. Its aquacultured feed ingredient, SeaGraze®, launched in late 2025. Symbrosia's commercial studies show beef cattle growing faster on the feed, which goes straight to rancher profit. We backed the team in 2019, before there was a product, and demand is now running ahead of supply.
