BRF’s portfolio expanded significantly in 2025, with seven new investments bringing the total to 13 companies across areas including aquaculture technology, alternative feed, and circular resource use. The portfolio continues to be weighted toward technology-enabled solutions, particularly those improving feed efficiency, animal health, and supply chain transparency. Early impact results show strong performance in avoided greenhouse gas emissions, with the current portfolio projected to exceed targets in this category, while progress in areas such as habitat restoration, nitrogen removal, and job creation remains more limited due to the portfolio’s composition.

Looking ahead, BRF is focused on refining and sharing its impact measurement methodologies and pre-investment due diligence frameworks, including specific guidance for seaweed, bivalve, offshore, and land-based aquaculture systems.
