Blue Catalyst will harness technology in service of nature, tackling the toughest technical and operational barriers in blue carbon today.
Hosted in Singapore, Blue Catalyst is a platform that connects project developers, researchers, and innovators to overcome complex implementation and monitoring, reporting and verification barriers and scale high-integrity blue carbon projects across Asia and beyond.
Following the two-week in-person programme, participants continue their journey with six months of commercialization and technical support from Hatch Blue and WWF-Singapore. This ongoing guidance helps participants refine their business models, leverage pilot opportunities, and prepare for investment.
Participants receive:

- Exposure to project developers, offtakers, and investors during EcoSperity Week in Singapore.
We’re seeking innovators working within these challenge areas:
- Greenhouse gas (GHG) flux measurement and modelling
- Geospatial mapping and data integration
- Biodiversity monitoring
- Carbon stock modelling
- Improving sapling mortality
- Accessing remote or fragmented sites
- Community engagement and safeguards
Solutions should demonstrate enterprise scalability and replicability, show innovative thinking, and be globally relevant with an Asia-first focus.

Once the application window opens, it is set to close 27 February 2026.
The on-site portion of the programme will be held in Singapore from 11 - 22 May 2026.
Participating companies will be onboarded virtually in early-April 2026.

Yes, ideally you are a registered company within your jurisdiction. However, we will also consider novel and disruptive technologies in the blue carbon sector if you have intention to be incorporated by the end of the programme.
One, ideally two founders will be present during the on-site portion of the programme.
During the on-site portion of the programme in Singapore, in-person attendance is required. The 6 month ongoing development period will be held remotely.
Yes, there will be a finale demo day on 22 May 2026 (Friday) during Ecosperity Week.
There will be ongoing programme engagement after the on-site portion for participants to engage with the Hatch Blue team to meet their milestone and for relevant companies to deploy technologies on WWF project sites.
Hatch Blue was conceived in late 2017 by co-founders Carsten Krome, Georg Baunach and Wayne Murphy, with the goal to revolutionise the way we produce seafood through investing in its technological development.
There is no specific requirement for you to disclose your confidential information (including any trade secrets) or IP during your attendance. However, if you do wish to share any information with us, Hatch Blue, WWF, EDB and all founding or organizing teams will ensure that all information is kept totally confidential and will not be shared without your written permission.
