Atlantic Canada Aquaculture Studio, 2026

investments in Canadian aquaculture companies
Innovation Studios hosted
in funding raised by innovation studio participants
The Atlantic Canada Aquaculture Studio is designed for companies that are ready to move faster, sharpen their strategy, and scale.
Delivered by Hatch Blue in partnership with Oceans Advance, the program connects companies to global expertise while grounding the experience in the Atlantic Canadian ecosystem.
This is not an academic program. It is a practical, founder-focused company support program designed around the real challenges early and growth-stage companies face as they scale.
The studio focuses on the areas that matter most to founders:
- Commercialization and go-to-market strategy
- Fundraising and investment readiness
- Industry access and ecosystem connectivity
- Founder-level execution support
Participants work closely with the Hatch Blue team and a global network of aquaculture leaders, investors, and industry experts. The goal is to help companies turn strong technology and early traction into scalable businesses with clear market pathways.
Atlantic Canada already generates strong innovation across aquaculture. What many founders need next is structured guidance, feedback, and access to the right networks to move from promising to investable and scalable. The studio exists to help bridge that gap.
Over a nine-month period, companies participate in an intensive two-week in-person studio, combined with ongoing support and structured check-ins. Founders work directly with mentors and industry operators, test and refine their strategy, strengthen investor narratives, and engage with key stakeholders across the aquaculture ecosystem. The program concludes with a final pitch day connecting companies to Atlantic Canada’s aquaculture and investment community.
Participation is fully funded, with no cost and no equity required.

Program specific questions
FAQ - My company isn’t headquartered in Atlantic Canada, but we have operations there. Are we still eligible?
Yes, companies can still be eligible if they have a clear and significant physical presence in Atlantic Canada. This means a meaningful operational footprint in the region, such as a registered office, facility, or active operations where business activity and impact are taking place. Occasional travel, remote staff, or sales activity alone would not meet the eligibility requirement. The program is designed to support companies creating tangible economic and innovation impact within Atlantic Canada. Atlantic Canada includes New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
